As more dye pellets are added to the base material, the blacker the food serving trays will appear. More dye pellets are added until the blackest possible appearance of the food tray is obtained. These plastic serving trays are also used by self-service cafeteria-style eateries. Some cafeterias use large serving trays since patrons may buy less food if their tray becomes full. Stacks of food trays are often placed near the serving line entrance for easy access by patrons. Our black food trays are made in two other convenient sizes, our large size 14″ x 18″ fast food tray and our medium size 12″ x 16″ fast food tray.
