Description: A very rare pair of 19th Century inlaid well figured emboyna and ebonised music or pier cabinets of exceptional quality, finely hand carved with beautifully rich patination, grain and embellished with well cast, decorative ormolu throughout. The moulded top of shaped rectangular form with canted corners is inlaid with decorative ebonised detail and features a fluted and ormolu border above an elegantly simple panelled frieze with gorgeous egg and dart ormolu mounted detail. Raised above a single glazed glass panelled door fitted with a well cast escutcheon and key and which opens to a lined shelved interior. A fabulous pair of ormolu mounted, inlaid stylised ring turned corinthian columns flank the sides with stunning foliate motifs and striking ebonised and amboyna striped detail. Supported on shaped panelled, inlaid platform base with canted corners, terminating on beautiful stylised onion feet.
