Description: A stunning 19th Century well figured mahogany marble top console table of large proportions, finely hand carved with beautifully rich patination and grain. This exceptional piece features a striking moulded, serpentine fronted Rosso Levante marble top of rectangular form above a deep frieze decorated profusely with a gorgeous centred arrangement of motifs comprising of c-scrolls, flowerheads and acanthus leaves flanked with richly trailing foliate. Raised over elegantly tapering cabriole leg with fabulous stylised corbels, flowerheads, c-scrolls and foliate on knee and with scroll foot, finely carved in high relief, terminating on moulded, serpentine platform base.
