Description: A gorgeous late 19th Century finely hand carved well figured rosewood drop leaf lamp or occasional table of rectangular form, exceptional quality with rich patination, grain and featuring delicate line inlay and beautiful Neoclassical marquetry panel detail throughout. The quarter veneered moulded top with three drop leaf serpentine shaped leaves, all with exquisite marquetry work comprising of richly trailing foliate, swags, flowerheads and urn motif detail to the central reserves set within line inlaid borders. Raised over line inlaid elegantly tapering and outswept legs conjoined with shaped undertier shelf with further decorative inlaid detail, terminating on well cast brass and ceramic casters.
