Description: A stunning Edwardian well figured mahogany serpentine shaped corner cabinet in the manner of Chippendale, this exceptional piece is finely carved with rich patination and grain. The serpentine fronted, moulded top with canted corners and fluted, stepped overhanging pediment is raised over a simple frieze above a single glazed glass panelled door fitted with a well cast brass escutcheon and key, which opens to a fabulous lined interior with a richly scrolling foliate and flowerhead pattern in delicate hues of creams and silvers against a light grey ground. The canted sides are decorated beautifully with blind fretwork featuring geometric shapes, hand carved in low relief, raised above a deep serpentine apron features a single cupboard door with lovely panelled detail to the central reserve, flanked with a further pair of panels, supported on elegantly tapering square leg, terminating on spade foot.
