Description: A fabulous 19th Century burr walnut side table or desk of gorgeous quality, finely hand carved, ormolu mounted and line inlaid throughout with beautifully rich patination and fine grain. The moulded, crossbanded and line inlaid top of serpentine form is embellished with exquisite marquetry detail of scroll, foliate and flower head motifs with a cartouche to the central reserve. Raised over shaped, line inlaid single drawer frieze flanked with finely cast foliate ormolu appointments to the corners, supported on elegant tapering cabriole leg with further ormolu decoration, terminating on foliate cast sabot foot.
