Description: A very fine 19th Century set of twelve well figured mahogany spear point balloon back dining chairs. This superb set of chairs are of exceptional quality, finely hand carved with beautifully rich patination, grain and have been fully repolished. The decorative shaped top rail with scroll detail is raised over a gorgeous spear shaped pierced central vertical back splat raised over a padded seat upholstered in a stunning fabric featuring an exquisite stylised lattice pattern and foliate motif detail in delicate shades of grey against a striking silver ground. The simple panelled and fluted apron is supported above outswept legs to the rear and finely ring turned elegantly tapering legs to the fore, terminating on arrow foot.
